testify that 2 hides and 1 virgate were removed from this manor; they were there
before 1066, but the reeves lent them to their friends; and 1 woodland pig
pasture and 1 croft. The church of Leatherhead is attached to this manor, with
40 acres of land. Value 20s. Osbern of Eu holds it.

woodland at 30 pigs. Value before 1066 £15; later £10; now £20; however, it pays
£30. The villagers of this village are exempt from all the sheriff's concerns.
The Bishop of Bayeux wrongfully placed 1/2 hide of the land of this manor in the
manor of Bramley, and holds it; it was in Gomshall before and also after 1066.

Value before 1066, later and now £18. One Edric of Elham, who held this manor,
gave 2 hides to his daughters, who could go where they would with their lands.
Of these hides, Richard of Tonbridge has one, which belongs to no manor; he has
1 plough there in lordship with 1 smallholder, and a mill at the hall; meadow, 1
acre. Herfrid of Throwley holds another hide from the Bishop of Bayeux. Value of
Richard's hide, 20s; of Herfrid of Throwley's, 10s. From the three manors which
Queen Edith had in Surrey, the sheriff has £7, because he aids them when they
have work.

however, it pays £30, weighed and assayed. Ranulf Flambard holds the church of
this manor, to which 3 hides belong. Wulfmer held it from King Edward; it never
paid tax. Land for 2 ploughs. In lordship 1; 5 villagers and 12 cottagers with 2
ploughs. Meadow, 15 acres; woodland at 3 pigs. Ranulf Flambard also holds a
second church there, which pays 12s a year. Value of these 3 hides before 1066
and now £4; when acquired £3.
Ranulf Flambard also holds TUESLEY from the King. It belonged to Godalming.
Leofwin held it from King Edward. Then and now 1 hide; it did not pay tax. Land
for 1 plough. It is there, with 1 villager, 6 cottagers and 1 slave. Value
before 1066, 60s; later and now 40s.
