ANSGER DE CRIQUETOT.
From Criquetot (now Cristot), near Dieppe. Cribett stands for Cricket, Criquet or Criquetot. This is a baronial family in England, and Ansger, who came over with the Conqueror, held lands in Suffolk from Mandeville in 1086. Hugo Fitz Ansger occurs in 1130 and his son, Hubert de Criketot, held two fees from Mandeville in 1165. From them descends the family Hobart. The name appears on the rolls of Holinshed, Duchesne, Leland.
