GUILLAUME LOUVET.

William Louvet was a great Domesday baron, having held large possessions in capite in Berkshire, Bedford, Northampton and Leicester, in which counties the family long continued of great prominence. The honourable Neville Lovett; bishop of Portsmouth is a descendant of this companion of the Conqueror. Guillaume de Louvet appears on the Dives list and that of Worcester.
