SIRE DE BOSC-ROARD.
Simon de Bosco-Roardo was lord of Stathern in Leicestershire, Clifton in Buckinghamshire and Okley in Bedfordshire at the time of the conquest. De Bois-Robert or Roard, of whom Robert de Bois and his brother held estates in Buckinghamshire in 1086 (Domesday), belonged to one of the numerous branches of this family, one of which, Bois or Bosco, held lands in South Elham from the conquest, as appears by a suit at Ipswich, 1285.
