Devil's Door

The north door in most ancient churches is referred to as 'The Devil's Door'. It is thought that the use of the north door was either a way of segregating the Christian congregation from the Pagan or a means of the Pagans demonstrating their own bias. The north door of the Bosham church was removed quite recently.
