Ankle Length Tunic

Edward the Confessor seated here on his throne, is wearing a mantle about his shoulders with a green gown underneath. The upper and lower tunic are of the same colour and down the front of the gown is a broad band of embroidery on a white background. The gown has a further band of embroidery with a fleur-de-lys motif which runs around the bottom of the upper tunic, but is only visible at the knees. Edward wears matching shoes with a stripe down the centre. His golden crown is a circlet of fleur-de-lys and he is holding a floreated sceptre.
