Aelfwold, abbot of St. Benet's.

Aelfwold was elected abbot of St. Benet's Abbey (also known as St. Benet's at Holme) in 1064. At the time of the Norman Conquest Harold Godwinson placed Abbot Aelfwold in charge of defending the South coast of England against invasion. After the Conquest, both Eadric and Aelfwold were exiled to Denmark.
