With banners held high, Hardrada and his army now make their way to York. In the top border appears a Scrio, a form of owl. In Celtic mythology Blodeuwedd was created by Gwydion to wed his son Llew. Blodeuwedd fell in love with another and conspired to kill Llew. For her bad conduct she was changed into an owl and Llew was changed into an eagle. In the lower border we see grape harvesting followed by the fable of “The Oxen and the Butcher”. The moral to this story is, beware, there may be worse troubles around the corner.
