Destruction by the Viking invaders wrought on the town of Scarborough continues. Houses are set ablaze and many of the inhabitants are killed. In the upper border appear, Bifröst, a burning rainbow that may represent the god Odin in disguise. This is followed by the ‘Web of Wyrd’. The Web of Wyrd was woven by the three Norns, the Norse goddesses of fate. According to Norse mythology, it controls the Universe and everything within it.
