Castel Camlais is also known as Cwm Camlais, Maescar, Blaencamlais, or Defynoch Castle.
Little is known of the history of Castel Camlais near Brecon, there is some reference to it in 1265 when it is thought it was destroyed.
All that remains today is the motte and the foundations of what was a round tower.
