Despite standing on a rock outcrop above the Funshion river, this tower house is still not visible from the road that passes close by.
With high hopes that the effort required to reach it would be rewarded, I set off only to discover it hidden behind trees, and engulfed by foliage.
It seems likely it was built before 1541 and held by the O'Hennessy family, probably as tenants of the Roches.
