Knockane is a five storey tower house located just to the north of Toomyvara. It probably dates from around 1600 to 1620.
Out of shot but just discernible in the photo is a circular bartizan upon stepped corbels on the far corner.
The bartizan on the opposite corner is missing, although the corbels are still there.
The tall chimneystack rising above the west wall served a fireplace on the fifth storey level, whilst the small chimneys on the gables are dummies.
