Knockelly stands proudly above derelict farm buildings to the North Eeast of Fethard.

Its mullioned windows, diagonally set chimneystacks and flush gables indicate the late 16th century date of this five storey tower.

It lies within a remarkably complete bawn having circular drum flankers at the North West and South East corners.

In the 18th century the owners were the Everards, whose tenants the Keatings were evicted for non-payment of rent.
