The Mayor of Hastings Judy Rogers and Mercedes visit the Crypt Gallery, St Mary in the Castle, Hastings. Mercedes is part of Wildworks theatre and is involved in the Root 1066 International Arts Festival.

Tradition says that William the Conqueror landed at Bulverhythe in 1066 and dined on this stone.
The stone was relocated to Hastings in 1965 and is now opposite the Royal Victoria Hotel, St Leonards-on-Sea.
