Burscough Priory, Burscough, Lancashire, England was founded in 1186 for the Black Canons an order of Augustinian monks. It was founded by Robert Fitz-Henry, Lord of Lathom, and dissolved c.1536 by Henry VIII. Some remains still exist. The bells of the Priory were moved to nearby Ormskirk Parish Church.
The Priory also gives its name to the local high school, 'Burscough Priory Science College', until recently known as 'Burscough Priory High School.' The school has a population of roughly 750 pupils and caters for 11-16 year olds.
