Chicksands

Chicksands is a village in the Mid Bedfordshire district of Bedfordshire, England, and part of the civil parish of Campton and Chicksands. It is on the River Flit. Nearby places are Shefford, and Campton.

Chicksands was the site of RAF Chicksands, a former RAF base now in use as the Defence Intelligence and Security Centre, and home to the British Army's Intelligence Corps. On the Intelligence Corps base an Army Cadets detachment is present. It is badged to the Intelligence Corps. Previous to this it was badged to the Royal Anglian Regiment. It is part of the Beds. ACF, it is in A company (A coy). The detacment commander is a Segeant Major McAllister.

Chicksands is also home to a popular managed mountain biking area. This includes a wide variety of riding, from cross country to dirt jumping.
